Access to public-use data files, file documentation, and access to restricted-use data files is provided at no cost to the user.

If you are a researcher and want access to the Research Data Center (RDC) to see confidential restricted-use files, there may be an application fee. These will vary, depending on the number of NSDUH years and location of access (such as the National Center for Health Statistics network versus Federal Statistical Research Centers) and frequency of access (NCHS vs FSRDC).
